Nett Lake/North Woods School Summer Program and Transition Camp

To create a future biomedical science and regenerative medicine workforce, the Innovators of the Future Nett Lake/North Woods Schools Summer Program and Transition Camp will provide science and math learning and science career exploration for Native American and rural students in northern Minnesota. The Summer Program helps prevent summer learning loss through a STEAM curriculum that incorporates Native American cultural teachings and traditions. The Transition Camp is a one‐week program for Native American 6th grade students preparing to enter middle school; the program will improve Native American student academic performance and educational persistence by creating opportunities for building critical social networks and facilitating an inclusive learning environment conducive to the learning of all students.
