Minnesota Medical Student Guide to Proficiency in Regenerative Medicine and Surgery
Grant Project Details:
Grant Description
Regenerative Medicine and Surgery Selective (RMSS) was launched in 2014 at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and has been a successful education program for medical students. In four years of this program and through inaugural RMM funding for statewide expansion, a total of 85 medical students (University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine), 76 high school students, 6 visiting research fellows and 40 faculty members have participated in this novel bench-to-bedside curriculum. This year, we aim to engage medical students and pre-medical tribal college students across Minnesota in the principles of regenerative medicine that are rapidly transforming the clinical practice and will encourage future physicians to participate in pioneering curative therapies.
